Investor-Oriented Investment Solutions

Proven Solutions for Long-term Investors

The investing environment is increasingly difficult against a landscape that has been redefined with globalization, technology, and more. Investors now face the biggest risks and opportunities in a generation.

Since 1997, we have been redefining investing. Our founder, a long-term investor, developed the Defined Risk Strategy to help other investors define and limit market risk—to redefine the risk/return profile of equity investing.

Defining Risk, Improving Investing Outcomes

Our strategy is available across multiple structures and asset classes:

  • SMAs, Mutual Funds, Custom Portfolio Overlays, CITs, LP
  • U.S. Large Cap, U.S. Small Cap, Foreign Developed, Emerging Markets

Investors use the DRS to serve various roles inside a portfolio, including:

  • A core equity replacement or supplement
  • A hedge equity complement for equity holding
  • A fixed income complement
  • An absolute return or alternative asset

The DRS is available in a suite of mutual funds across asset classes, based on the same strategy and investing process launched in 1997, designed to redefine the risk/return profile of long-term equity investing.

Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs) offer some customization opportunities with the DRS available across a range of asset classes, as well as, individualized reporting for DRS investors. There is an investment minimum to open a separate account.

The Swan Defined Risk Collective Investment Trust funds, a hedged, risk-managed, and globally diversified suite of CITs that are packaged for retirement (401k) accounts and may be suitable as a qualified default investment alternative (“QDIA”).  Ask your financial advisor for more information.
